New to auto level
What is the proper way to level a 40' DP. I have 3 jacks that will auto level the coach, i'm looking to see how some of you do it.

Well Sir,
The first thing is, your post title is "New to AUTO level". Based on that term, I would assume your coach has AUTOMATIC LEVELING. If that's the case, then your coach should automatically level itself and there's no need for manual input unless the auto leveling sensor is out of adjustment. Does your coach automatically level itself?

With the 3 jack system, the front jack need to come down first to take some load off the suspension, so the rear jacks can level from side to side. If the rear jacks try to level from side to side with out the front jack being down, you may crack a windshield or distort something else on the front of the coach.

Agreed and I will add that most manufacturers recommended extending your slides before airing down and leveling. Visa versa going back.
Best advice would be to read your owner’s manuals. You can find them inline, if you don’t have them.

Yep, my owners manual states just the opposite, level first> extend slide.

I have two sets of instructions, both with the Fleetwood logo at the top. One says level then deploy slides. the other says deploy slides and level. I've done both and if it makes a difference, I cannot tell, so I do whichever is convenient.

If it has Auto-level, push the Auto button and let it do its thing. Recalibrate the "level" position if needed to get it right, then use Auto thereafter.
But many 3-jack systems aren't automatic. If yours is not, move the front jack down to ground contact and then a few inches more to lift slightly. Then put the rears down as needed to get level.
