New to RVing (almost)

My wife and I are in the process (not yet a done deal) of purchasing a 1996 35 ft Dolphin M535, with 36k miles, long distance. We are in ND and the motorhome is in Calif. We got many good pictures and asked and got good answers to all our questions, and have had friends there check it out first. Our friends only made a minimal inspection, commenting on how it looked in like new condition. Still, we wonder if there are known problems or concerns with this year, make and model, like manufacturers defects or recalls, or anything outside of what could be described as normal wear and tear. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You'll get more useful information if you identify the chassis it is on.

Not sure if this applies

Not sure if this applies but our neighbors showed me their Dolphin that they wanted to sell. It was either a 1994 or 1996. It was beautiful inside as the did not use it much and it has been garaged. However I am 5'9" tall and this was the shortest roof full size motor home that I have looked at. My husband would have hit the ceiling for sure. I felt like the ceiling was brushing the top of my hair with shoes on. My neighbors are significantly shorter than I am so they had not noticed it. If you are tall you may want to look at the model locally or have your friends measure the height of the lowest items (AC unit and shower top) to be sure you will fit without feeling like your about to bang you head.

Edit: I just did a search for you of the recall database and did not see anything for the 1996 Dolphin by National RV. I checked the 1997 and they did have the refrigerator recall for that year so the do include the National/Dolphin line. Here is the link I used.

Cheers!
