Sorry for the long delay...a few updates.
Propane tank still good; still has PROPANE it it
, and the folks at Farmer's Co-op Propane yard redid the connector from the tank to the regulator (which checked out...wow!). Had to replace the O-ring in the fill connector, but put another 5 gals in there...no problem.
The house batteries were replaced and wired in with some brand-spankers new cabling; nothing sparked or blew up when I switched on the mains and switched on the inverter/converter. Amazing. The convection microwave works, the Dometic fridge works in electric mode (haven't gone through the gas systems yet; that's a future adventure), and the house lights turned on...well, at least the ones with good bulbs did.
Getting new feet and springs to replace the missing ones on the front jacks next, then concentrating on the genset. So far, my appreciation and amazement at old Holiday Rambler MHs hasn't hit a hiccup. Even when something needs to be replaced, it's been minor in cost and easy to do. I guess there's something to that 'first love' thing after all, eh?
