New/used class A (40+) wanted

I know someone that is looking for a luxury 40ft or more class A diesel pusher, immaculate if used or new in the Midwest. Everytime we go to a site advertised there are none to that spec, where do we find these or do we need to go down south?

I am surprised that you cannot find a new unit! I recommend that you develop a list of needs and a preferred floor plan, or you will be running in circles. At that point you might be able to narrow the search to two or three makes/models. It goes without saying that you should have a budget for this project. At this point it might be best to begin looking at new/used units to confirm your choices. My observations have been that used units that are immaculate, low mileage and low usage often do not remain on the market for extended times. From this point, it is all in the search. Frequent Internet searches, dealer relationships and be ready to act. Good luck.

There are hundreds of 40+ foot DP listed online. Just do a search for DP for sale. Then call ahead of time.

They will be hard to find in some regions, e.g. the Northeast, where larger diesel motorhomes are not very popular. The Western US and the snowbird areas of the Southeast, South Texas and Southwest will have larger selections. So yes, you may want to look elsewhere.

If you use RV Search sites such as and, you will find many without regard to locale (unless you choose to limit the search). Also check major RV consignment places like PPL Motorhomes and major motorhome dealers such as Lazydays (in Tampa & Phoenix) and MH Specialists in Texas.

There are plenty available - just widen the search.
