Newbie confusion

We are new to the motorhome world. upgraded from a 1973 Terry camper. We now own a 1997 Class A Coachman Mirada. Help! It does not have a hydraulic jack system that we can find...Lol. how do you stabilize them to help with the rocking?

Short of installing a leveling system you can try using scissor ar portable hydraulic jacks. do not try to level the MH with these. But after you have it level jack them up to take the rocking out of the MH.

Someone else may have a better idea.

yeah temporary brace, but not weight bearing ... installing an after market level system is an option, but not sure the cost is justifiable unless you plan on keeping the coach for a long time.

Could be time for new shocks... our 1996 coach had a lot of rocking till I replaced the original shocks. But it still moves a little, reminds me of "my" boat I had to sell to buy "her" motorhome.

Two less expensive systems are 1. BAL quick to the ground leveling system. Manuel system but they do work using a heavy duty 18 or 24 volt drill motor and socket. 2 4 6000 lb. scissor jacks one on each corner. Can't lift the unit off the ground but should be able to level your unit.

There's a good thread that deals with that subject below, and it's right humorous as well
