Newbie joining the RV ranks
I am going for my last inspection of a coach that we are thinking of getting this Friday. It is a 2012 Thor Windsport 32A. It is gently used and looks good. I have found no major defects and have looked at it carefully for signs of leaks and water damage. Aside from the major mechanical issues what are some of the important items I should be focusing on? Any suggestions from the seasoned among you would be helpful. Things that you feel would be RED FLAGS!!!

I would assume that you will replace tires within 2 years and batteries immediately. I would keep those things in mind when you make an offer.

Also,
You should familiarize yourself with the maintenance schedule and inspect records, if available. If no maintenance records, plan on doing all routine maintenance so that you have a known starting point. Again, keep this in mind with formulating an offer.

I would have and independent RV inspector check the coach. Try to be there with him. You'd be surprised at what he might find. Having a mechanic do a check of the engine, brakes, and other mechanical systems would not be bad also. Don't rely on what the dealership tells/promises you. They'll say anything to make a sale!! Spending a few hundred $ now, can save you big $ later.

Welcome to the forum Scooch!
I would not buy a used coach without
1. An independent inspection
2. Repair & maintenance records
I would not hand over my check & sign papers until every repair, if any, was completed, every promise made by the dealer fulfilled, and I had test driven the coach on the highway at speed. Once you leave the lot, you are at a huge disadvantage.
BTW, what attracted you to this brand and model? Did you lurk on this or the Thor forum doing your research?
Best of luck whatever road you take.

Why would you assume you have to replace batteries and tires so fast? Unless tires look defective and batteries fail testing, why replace them? Tires 10 years minimum if look ok and batteries until they fail to give proper service time.

You can use all or part of it. It's not just for factory delivery.
Happy Trails!!!
