Newbie needs advice!!

Hello! I’m going to look at a class A tomorrow at a dealer. 2015 Thor Axis 24.1.
They said they just repaired some water damage under the drivers and passengers cab windows. Should I trust that they made all repairs needed or since there has already been water damage should I not even bother looking at it?
Thanks!

I would recommend an independent inspector look at the coach prior to purchase. that way this repair gets looked at and the rest of the coach gets a look as well.

best of luck.

My 2015 Ace 29.3 had front window leak at passenger side. resealed the window at top and sides, (not bottom) no more issue. My coach was stored under cover so no long term water intrusion, just a few hours on way home from a trip in the rain. Long term leak could be an issue on a coach stored outside. Stand outside and site down the sides of the coach, look for bubbles in the sidewalls. Walk along the exterior sides and press lightly with you fingers on the walls. Look for flex on the exterior layer of the wall.

The F53 chassis is famous for breaking sway bar brackets, usually the rear. May be loose or completely broken. Not an expensive repair if you do it yourself but best to have dealer do it before purchase.

Check floor for "popped" fasteners/loose floor deck. Loose fasteners may show as a bulge in the floor covering.

The fact that they told you about the water damage repair, tells me they might be a reputable dealer and won't try to hide any known problem. I'm not a fan of Thor, but a number of people have and like them. Looking won't cost you any more than the trip there. Every coach you look at gets you a little more informed to help in your decision of when to buy.

Run Forest run. If you are still inclined to purchase this coach then have a full independent (you pay for it and not the dealer) inspection done first before exchanging any $$$

Thanks again to everyone for your advice. Fortunately, I did not buy the axis. It was too beat up for the year and amount of miles that were on it. I’ve decided to stay away from Thor. Thanks again!
