Newbie refrigerator leveling advice

Looks like we have a deal on a 2006 class A 35' gasser (one owner, garaged since new, 40k miles, V-10, all records and manuals, 2 year old Goodyears) from a very meticulous private owner). He finally accepted my offer contingent on a test drive and everything working. We spent 2 hours on the first visit, but due to weather and time, postponed the test drive and full inspection for if we made an offer.

We owned 4 travel trailers in the 80's and I know getting the coach level is important to keep from ruining the refer. My question is: will it hurt the Dometic gas/electric refer to be off level while it is turned off? I expect to have to park it for a few days off level while working on fencing and access to our backyard. Looks like it would be about a 6-8" slope difference between front and back of RV in the driveway. I could use the jacks if you guys think there could be a problem.

Thanks for the help!

Hi and welcome to the MH world. Not a problem parking off level when fridge is off. Just when running it needs to be close to level. I forgot how much, but it should say in your manual.

Abortion refrigerators only need to be level if/when/while they are operating.

Should not be an issue. The damage comes from the unit being on and not level, which causes over heating.
Now run, don't walk to www.arprv.com

I've read that you should only run the frig if you are within a half bubble of level. I used a 6 in level placed on a shelf to check to see if the frig and the counter next to it were at the same degree of level. Since they are I now just place the level on the counter to confirm what feels level. I check both front to back and side by side.
