Newmar 1998 Freightliner chassis 210 Cummins front engine diesel

Just purchased and wondering how they do for power in the mountains. Thinking about pulling a Buick Encore on a car hauler as being a idiot when we purchased it bought a awd and can’t be towed 4 wheels down. Any thoughts would be great

What is the towing capacity of the coach? My guess is 5000# or less. That 210 hp Cummins only has about 400-440#'s of torque. I suspect you have the 34' model. What does it weigh? A rule of thumb is that 1 hp/100# of weight will have decent performance. If your weight is much over 21,000# it will be rather weak in the mountains and if you pull 4-5000#, it will be a difficult slow process.
