Newmar and others Plumbing question

I've seen this in a few coaches. Is this stock? If not, why make this modification?

Winterizing kit. Instructions are on the little placard to the left. Our rig does not have it, but fairly common in my observation.

Ah thanks. I’m in Florida. Don’t think that would be needed in Orlando?

The little connection kit in the pic is to help make winterizing easier, faster, and (hopefully) more likely to be done. Ignore if you're 100% staying or storing in above freezing temps. If you eventually plan to store or not use your coach intermittently and that involves < freezing temps, repeatedly, you might consider installing such a kit for convenience. For now? Doesn't matter.

Probably not in Orlando, but if you moved inland a bit, say Ocala or Gainesville, you would likely encounter sub-freezing temps sometime during the winter.

Most likely not--- but in the mid-80's we had several days of below freezing weather in tampa.... neighbor that was out of town, had the pipes burst.
But, alternative is just to blow the lines out with an air compressor.
