Newmar Keyless Entry

My unit is a 2017 MountainAire. I continue to have issues with keyless entry. I’ve had it repaired twice but after a few days it stops working again. A technician told me all he had to do was adjust two screws. Can someone tell me where they are and what to do with them? I can easily lock the door with keys or from the inside but using the keypad just stops working.

The technician is probably referring to the contacts in the door jamb. Mine usually stops working over the winter. Each spring, I have to take a fine grit sandpaper and just lightly sand the tips so they make better contact. This year, I took it apart and adjusted the nuts on the screws so the contacts stuck out further and compressed together more. You might wanna give that a try.

Ours on the Essex were a pain to keep working. By end of first year just gave up. Not worth getting my blood pressure up. Two worst things about RV was the poor headlights and pain in the ... keyless entry. Good luck

Enjoy the journey

Mine stopped working and the Newmar Tech (warranty issue) reported a wire disconnected. Been working fine now.
