no air...Help

we just pulled into Camp gulf and I noticed low air was able to get to site and air alarm and now coach will not move less than 30 LBs in both tanks I have Haldex n4253j dyer. I can feel air coming out bottom of unit thur a bell lookin port that looks like it has a electrical connection to it also. I had called a mechanic and he by passed dryer and was able to move coach. The mechanic say he can not get "dump valve' and my unit is old and should be upgraded for 600.oo plus labor. Any thoughts before I shell out cash?

Trust, but confirm. Get the brand and model # and see if parts are available, to rebuild it.

You could also see if someone sells rebuilt units.

Swapping for a different brand, could make plumbing changes necessary.

not necessarily. I would look for a commonly available unit. I replaced mine with an AD-9 probably one of the commonest with parts available anywhere and cheap. Replaced with no modifications just had to modify the wiring connectors at the bottom (they are the heater in the purge valve) for under $200
