No Brake Lights, No Turn Signals

First Off, let me say hello to all our members. My problem is I can't find the fuse for my brake lights and turn signals, I've looked in all the fuse boxes outside under the d/s, kitchen galley hallway, the ones I've check are all good, some with v/o meter and all the bulbs are good, on some of the fuse location the label are not very descriptive to what i was looking for. Like a plain label that say brake/turn signal fuse etc. I've looked over the schematic drawing and all i could find was a wire #111 red going to and from the smart wheel module... Any advice would be nice, thanks again.. 06 inspire full timer #51651

First off the two fuses your looking for would be in the chassis fuse panel and should be very close to the steering column, either inside the firewall by the brake pedal or outside under the hood above the gen set ; as mine are; or in a compartment below the drivers feet, where from the sounds of things yours are. If the markings on the box aren't clear as to the circuit protected, then maybe contacting the chassis manufacturer for a diagram would be the best first step.
The fuse boxes are supplied from the chassis manufacturer, loose on the frame , with a length of wire, and the coach manufacturer has the choice of a mounting spot within the reach of the wiring.
Do all your other smart wheel functions operate normally?
If any other functions are a problem , check the wiring multiple connector at the base of the steering column, this connector can sometimes be kicked loose.
When you contact the chassis manufacturer, ask about testing the smart wheel module too.

"Clydeman"......you need to go to the Country Coach forum on here and ask your question. Your coach has a proprietary chassis and you'll need to ask another CC owner where the fuse or blinker controller is located.

clydeman,
You don't say what kind/make/model/engine/chassis/year of coach you have. And, how long have you owned this coach? In other words, did this problem just happen or, did you recently purchase this coach and it had this condition when you purchased it? Typically grounds are the most common problem with electrical issues but, they're not always the exact answer. It's probably a bit rare that a bad ground would cause your problem of no brake lights and turn signals.

So, it's probably a fuse. Not knowing your chassis, I cannot suggest where exactly to look. I don't think a Smart wheel would have any influences on the turn signals or brakes. I do know that there's variable locations for all these fuses/relays in various coaches. Please post the answer when you find out so that folks will learn.
