Reading back over your earlier posts makes me think that your inverter may have been bad for some time. Your inverter/charger is a single unit that converts the 120vac shore power to 12vdc plus when not on shore power can invert 12vdc to 120vac. This unit would be hard wired into the system. Since you talk about a separate converter plugged into a power strip, that sounds like an add on that would only be needed if the charger function on the factory unit quit working. That same factory inverter has a relay that passes the 120vac shore power if youíre not using the inverter function.
That makes a lot of sense Dennis...the converter charger under the steps is just set on top of all the wiring...it's not fastened down at all. Already replaced it two months ago to regain the 12vdc lights
