No power to HWH panel

So I pulled into a CG this week, currently in the middle of a long 3 month trip. HWH levelers worked fine when I left in the AM, but no power to the panel when I arrived. FWIW, CG was in Wendell, ID and had an RV repair shop in front with CG behind (Wilson's). Surprisingly (to me), the hydraulic slides would not work either.

Looked on the boards here and saw that a previous poster had found a burned 40 amp fuse in the bay with the hydraulic pump and solenoids. Checked all the fuses, and sure enough, my 40 amp fuse had burned out so bad it had melted the plastic holder and fell apart when I tried to remove it. Sorry for the bad picture, thought I had a better one.

Went to NAPA and bought a 40 amp auto reset fuse, convinced that first thing the next morning I would have the HWH system up and running and be on my way. Installed the fuse and nothing, no difference. So I walked over and asked for help and two techs came over to see just what the heck was going on. They started tracing the power at the solenoid and pump, then removed the HWH panel by the drivers seat, something I didn't do.

The bottom of the panel had a single black wire plugged in. Tech 1 says sometimes you just gotta unplug then plug back in to reset the panel. Nothing. Finally after about 20 minutes, Tech 2 sitting in the drivers seat says hey, shouldn't these wires be plugged in? The 4 pin connector plug had fallen out of the bottom of the control panel. Problem solved.

Lesson learned, start with the simple stuff and work backward, especially when power is involved. Guess the 40 amp fuse was still working in its burned out state and I was lucky to get it fixed before it failed on me trying to retract jacks and leave a CG, causing much more consternation and stress. Guess I pulled a fast one on Murphy this time. Having RV techs at the CG was a blessing and saved me from having to self level with blocks at every CG.

Yes , the " waterproof inline fuse holder " on the HWH system , has been an issue for numerous coach owners.
Mine was still passing enough power to light up the control panel , but not enough to work the system .
