No recliner, No sale
I've been looking at new 35' and up. Most have a sectional couch facing the bedroom. At least with opposing couches you could replace a couch with a recliner. I thought everyone figured out in the 1990s sectionals are uncomfortable, and always in the way. Even when fitted with reclining ends the comfort is not there. Why would you travel to a beautiful place to gaze at your kitchen and bathroom when you can be looking out the large windshield.
With the TV over the windshield you can see out while commercials are on. As an option you can get a TV over the windshield and then look over your shoulder to see it.
The best thing about them is they almost all have painted stripes instead of these stickers.
In order to upgrade it has to be better than what we have.
Anyone else feel the same way or is it just me?

I dunno, most motorhomes I see at campsites have the curtains closed at the windshield all day. I love having it open myself for the unobstructed view as you say.
I am unsure what the ideal seating would be for me though. I think some type of sofa is a must for midafternoon naps with the dog on the floor though.

BTW, mid-ship TV works well for me.

Definitely don't like a front TV ... mid-ship preferred. Normally I'm backed in and the windshield view is "iffy". Like the euro recliners though.

Don't have the room for a recliner, but do have a sofa and looking out is a must (if the weather keeps us from being outside), we don't close our blinds until we are ready to call it an evening.
We also don't use a TV except for morning news, it's a small portable, we take it out, watch the news, then put it away.

I hear you. Never understood the two sofas facing each other and then having to turn your head to watch TV. Found our 2008 Providence 40X and love the two Euro Recliners. Not sure what we will go to when and if we upgrade.

I took that pain in the a** J-Couch out and went to Lazboy and got the best recliner I've ever had. They delivered and placed it where I wanted it. The great thing about it is that the back comes off for ease of delivery.

I am with you all the way on this one! We are in the process of buying a new rig, and for me, a recliner is an absolute must. Newmar says I can order a recliner to replace the side chair. While I like the recliner, my co-pilot prefers the couch, so everything works out well.
A good thread here on replacing one of the couches with recliners.

As I recall, when I was looking at RV.org trying to evaluate motorhomes, they would take off rating points if the unit had a front TV. They said it was a safety issue.
We now have a led up front, and it only weighs 7 lbs. We also replaced the j couch with 2 recliners.

I have kids (9 and 12) and they have friends. I need couches! Interestingly, I have found that we watch our outdoor tv more then the front mounted one. We will see as I get more miles in.

All the Front TV's I have seen will NOT work while being driven. It is a safety feature to not distract the driver.
We upgraded our coach with vinyl floor tile and replaced the couch with 2 new recliners. The best of easy maintanence. I like easy...
