Its the ones that think they can drive are the problem.. and if your held up by a large RV in the center lane on a four lane interstate your the one that can't drive. Not the RV.. JS

Even with blind spot mirrors it is hard to tell when it is safe to change lanes. When they pass you they cut you off...surprised I still have a front end on the coach. I guess I have vented enough so I'll close for now. If you agree let me know and if you know a good solution, please share it.

Maybe it's just me but people seem to give me a rather wide berth in my 34' F53 Gulfstream. Sorry to hear you're having issues with other drivers tho. That's a bummer.
Also, when I go to merge or need to make a lane change, I find that even I find they won't yield, when I go ahead and just come on over anyway...they get out of the way lol.

Yep, if they won't yield you got to...

I will say that anyone who believes there will never be "panic" braking situations hasn't been adequately exposed. How about the driver that passes, pulls in front of you and immediately slams on the brakes for whatever reason? And there are other situations. Most of these situations can be avoided by awareness, but there are some that are beyond our control. Large cities are the worst for this, IMHO, and I try to avoid them whenever possible.
When there is no choice I too drive the next lane lane over away from entering and exiting traffic when there are more than two lanes and occasionally when there are only two lanes. I always try to keep up with the traffic flow no matter what lane I am in and if I can't I usually pull over to the next lane to the right. Sometimes this is a conflict and I try to make the right choice.
Perhaps if we all just lighten up it can be more enjoyable?

I generally drive around 62 - 65. At this speed merging traffic should be able to easily accelerate and merge in front of me when the speed limit is 70+ you would think.
Unfortunately many seem to match my speed and try to drive in beside us.
Now if this is the case and merging people are merging at 60 - 65 into 70 - 80 speeds does this not cause issues to the drivers doing the speed limit? So if the faster drivers can adjust to slower merging traffic why do they have an issue with a large visible coach?

Because for some they cannot be behind a large vehicle. Even if that vehicle is going at or above speed limits or if traffic conditions are such that they shouldn't pass. Many, maybe even most, will pass or attempt to do so. As previously stated most drivers have no comprehension of large vehicle breaking, accelerating or merging challenges.
It is just the way it is. Large vehicle drivers must be the ones that are aware and try to plan ahead. I try to plan as much of every trip out as I can. I fuel at truck stops and give priority to those with RV lanes. I fuel often as it gives me a break from the road and I know I can usually do 700 miles on a full tank if I had to.
I use google earth to preview areas I'm not familiar with. Often I will plug into my GPS locations of a Walmart or a large mall that I can go to if I need to figure something out. I'm a planner and try to avoid potential problems before they happen. Whether that is planning for a trip or just making sure I'm in the correct lane to exit. Unfortunately there are just as many people that just wing it.

But that is the question. I am only driving 65. They will be going 70. They see me but do not accelerate to 70 to get ahead of me.
If they pull in beside me at 65 do they not pull in at the same speed in front of the fellow who is going 75 or 80 (keeping up with traffic)?
If this is the case and a person going 75 or 80 can go around a car merging at 65 why cant the same person go around a motorhome which is very much more visible?

They don't care about you. For most drivers it's about them. You're supposed to read their minds.
