No tv

We are in south Texas for the winter and our in motion satellite antenna or the air antenna will not find a TV station. I hooked up a rabbit ear to one tv and still nothing. I took out dish network that was working but got tired of paying a subscription when we only used it 2months a year. Any one tried the new internet boxes in their motorhome?

Do you have high volume broadband internet available for an "internet box"?

TV

We have installed two smart TV's and bring our mifi with us on the road. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch all the Netflix, Hulu, etc. shows that are available.

If you don't have satellite service what are you trying to lock onto with the satellite antenna? Check out Dish Network. They have plans where you pay as you go. Turn it on for two months, then turn it to standby.

You do have a satellite service subscription, right? The in-motion system won't work without it. As far as antenna, is your amplifier on? How far is the nearest local television station's transmitting antenna from you? Hopefully not more than 50 miles, as that seems to be when reception is iffy on a lot of our systems.

Have you checked coax/hdmi/video connections? If you have it, is the AV switch in the right position? How about the TV's input?

If you're near a city with local stations, that last thing would be my guess for why you're not receiving over the air.

Yes , where are you? I was I Rockport last month and yes there are no over the air stations in the area .. not even repeaters. It’s cable tv or satellite for a big area around there I found out unless your near 25-30 miles maybe from Corpus Christi or Houston.
Since you dumped the working dish Network receiver, you might as well toss the in motion satellite dome .. it’s worthless without the receiver. Your post reads as if you were using it to try to “receive “without the “ dish network receiver” I’m sure that’s not right. , right?
