Noises while driving?

New to this.
How much squeaking and groaning do you all get while driving your larger class As? Any? Some? A lot?
Let's eliminate those with the very expensive top end rigs. Like to hear from those with some older coaches also, post 2000.

Depends on the road condition. If you are in or around the big city congestion, you are going to hear road noise and the groaning/creaking while going over the uneven or rough surfaces. But with ours once you get away from the big cities and out to the open roads it drives real smooth and quiet. If we are on a nice level smooth road we barely hear the engine running in ours.

I have a 2005 HR. I get a LOT of squeaking and groaning...it comes from the passenger seat.

I'm a nut about chasing down noises. Many arguments start in our RV when I ask my wife to check out a noise. She argues until I unstrap the seat belt and it looks like I'll get up and find it.....while driving. She knows I won't, but it usually gets her moving.

As stated, some roads cause noise no matter what shape/year your coach is in. Anything that pops up while driving, that is out of the ordinary, I locate and repair before the next trip. If you don't stay on top of the noises, you'll soon be overwhelmed and probably unable to locate them all.

We did not realize how much rattling and squeaking the large, old RCA TV's up front caused until we removed ours. Much, much quieter now.

From the coach or the passengers?

Ours is not too bad. I turn up the radio and all the noises go away.

Almost 145,000 miles, and no squeaks, groans, or rattles.

Until I had to replace the dash air blower about three years ago. I had to tear almost the entire dash apart to get at it. It has taken until now (touch wood) to get the dash silent again.

Oh, yes. I almost forgot. When we bought our coach in 2008, the door squeaked, rattled, and had extreme wind noise. I adjusted it, added weatherstripping. That solved the squeaks and rattles, and almost eliminated the wind noise. I'm still working on that.

You have to work on it. A lot of noises can be eliminated by just systematically locating them and finding a cure. The DW and I have elimated plenty since purchasing our used motorhome. Rewarding when you have most resolved cruising down the road in silence.

Good Luck !

On a good road ours glides down the freeway almost silent in the front seats. We had to do some work though a while back to quiet the fridge squeak and the microwave squeak. And I do have a very noisy right front seat. It whines when I blast miscreants who cut me off on the road. Or people getting on to the interstate who do not even look to see we are in the lane they are going to merge in to.

A mechanic friend recently offered to loan me this tool Steelman STE97202 Wireless ChassisEar if I ever needed to find a rattle. It places sensors near the rattle. You find the one picking up the most noise and then move the others closer to that one. You eventually narrow down the area to an exact spot.
