Noobie floor plan question

We are considering a class a motorhome and would like one with a queen bed that is oriented parallel to the wheels, is there a searchable term for this?

Thanks

I'm not aware of being able to search Class A motorhome floor plans by furniture orientation / location but a Google expert may be able to find a way. I haven't seen a Class A motorhome manufactured in the last 15 years that has a bed parallel with the chassis frame (wheels). Every Class A I've seen has the bed in a slide-out to provide maximum room possible in the bedroom area.

The only time I've seen a Class A with a bed parallel to the frame was several years ago in my wife's uncle & aunt's 1983'ish Newell that had no slide outs (they traded that coach for Dutchstar when the Newell reached 35 years in age).

Would you mind sharing why you desire a bed that is installed parallel to the frame (wheels)?

If it has a bedroom slide, it usually has a bed parallel to the axle. Access to the engine is usually worst than bed over engine. I prefer headboard on the driver's side.

We had a 2007 Damon with bed like you want and loved it. Last two MH's have had bed cross ways on the slide and would go back any day but don't know how to search that.

I don't think that would be a searchable thingy! You've just to look at a LOT of floorplans!

I don't know if searching will work, but I believe the terminology you are asking about is as follows:
The head of bed across the rear is "North South" orientation, and head of bed against either side of coach is "East West" orientation. Happy shopping!

Fleetwood Excursion 35B has what you're looking for not sure what years manufactured, but mine is a 2015. Excursion was replaced by the Pace Arrow I believe in 2017, then they discontinued that floor plan shortly afterwards.

They call it North-South bed.
Also it can be called an Island bed.

That's how I referred to it, but wasn't sure that was an industry term.
Thanks
