Norcold N12DC

Hello , I am looking at replacing my Norcold 1200 absorption fridge with a Norcold N12DC which operates on 12volt only. The coach is a 2005 Fleetwood Expedition which has 4 6volt golf cart batteries. Does anyone have any experience with such a fridge ? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

I'm looking to do the same type of replacement , Dometic RV to 12 volt compressor fridge . 4 x 6 volt battery bank.

The only issue I've come across so far in planning , is the wire size ( fuse rating ) of the existing 12 volt supply .
I need to run heavier gauge wire from the batteries to the fridge compartment ( with suitable fuse/circuit breaker protection ).

I can not speek directly to the replacement you are talking about, however I can talk about my norcold 1200 replacement.

My 4 door needed to be replaced as the cooling unit was totally inoperable. I looked at replacing with another norcold of the same design. I found out that getting the old unit out of the MH would be easy. I also found out putting the new unit in would require removing the windshield to put the new unit into the coach. At that point I decided to go with plan B.

Plan B was replacing the cooling portion of the unit. I found JC Refrigeration had just want I needed to do the job.

Again just another route you may want to look into.
