Thumbs down OBDII Connector Location....

Throwing this out there hoping someone might be able to help me. I have a 2018 Thor Miramar 35.3 motorhome built on a 2017 Ford F53 chassis with the 6.8L V-10. It only has 1335 miles on the power train. Suddenly yesterday it went into the limp home mode (open ended wrench symbol appeared) while driving on I-40 in eastern Tennessee. Pulled off the road, shut down the engine and restarted. Fault went away. Went a couple of more miles and it happened again only this time with the Check Engine Light as well. Once again pulled off the road, shut off the motor and restarted. The wrench symbol went out but the engine light stayed on. I was able to make it to my destination without further problems. Funny thing is I started the motor this morning and presto no faults displayed. My question is: Where is the OBDII connector in the unit? By federal regulations it is suppose to be within 18 inches of the steering column but I will be damned if I can spot the darn thing. I have a code reader and would like to continuously monitor the power train when driving. By the way of course this happened on a late Friday afternoon. I do plan to contact the closest Ford dealer who works on motorhomes first thing Monday morning.

On my Newmar Ventana it located under the dash to the left of the steering column. Its a round plug which is not like an auto OBDII plug. There are adapters for them to allow car type readers to be hooked up

The coach builder failed to relocate the connector from the shipping location.

You'll have to get under the dash lower panel and move it yourself.

On the earlier model F53 it was easy to find. Go to the brake pedal. You will find a black wire bundle. Follow it up the fire wall. It will split. One half goes to the fuel pump reset button and the other half goes to the obd11 connector. Check carefully. Ford installs a black plastic cover over the connector that makes it hard to see.

Thumbs up Found It...

I was able to locate the OBDII connector finally thanks to a post I found in the Thor Forum. I figured it had to be hidden somewhere behind the plastic trim. Unfortunately the code read was the dreaded P2112 (Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed).
