I thought that had been solved by 2004. That said, look for posts on "slobber tubes" and you'll get ideas on how to make and install one. I did it on my 2001 Diplomat and it worked. Otherwise make sure you or your shop is not overfilling the crankcase with oil. The dip stick is not always 100% accurate. You may find that the oil level will go down to a certain point and then no further. That's a sign that your engine is blowing it out as opposed to burning it. No use in adding oil to bring it back to "full" if that is the case.

one will assume it blows out from the engine breather blow by tube??
U never indicated? How much? when? what motor? like what rpm and engine loads etc
I had a 2002 cummins ISC do this under heavy load.I extended the tube down into a container and left it 1 quart less than spec and seemed to solve any problems

The ISL engine in my 2004 American Tradition began blowing the oil filler cap off and spitting out oil one day. It was getting near time for an oil change anyway, so I changed oil and filter and also got a new filler cap, since the old one had been stretched a bit. The problem went away, but I sure wish I knew why! I keep fearing it will come back some day (but its been two years now).

This engine (and yours too) has an open crank case (slobber tube), so it's hard to imagine crank case pressure building up enough to blow off the cap.

Mine also doesn't like to have the oil up to the "Full" line. it works itself down to 2 qt low and stays there (60k miles now). I presume that oil goes out the slobber tube, since I see no evidence elsewhere.

Why would an oil passage have a freeze plug? That seems odd to me.

seems the access holes are block construction ports which have plugs as seals

Sometimes in cold weather the bottom of the tube will freeze up from condensation & temporarily block the tube then blow out the oil through the path of least resistance.
