Heavy grease will last even longer. Won't hurt the engine.

I've tried Auto Zone, The O'R...., Napa... Etc with no success. It is never long enough.

I've read comments on changing the oil, the dispstick has burned marks, this and that. My request is for information on WHERE to purchase a new replacement.

Answers are very much appreciated.

My 2001 had a recall as the wrong size was delivered with the chassis. I went to a Ford dealer and got the correct one under warranty. One had a tee handle and the other a ring handle.

I'm just curious, after an oil change and the correct quantity of oil is added per the manual, where does the oil level read on your new stick?

My 2000 has the T handle and after a refill it reads equally between the Full and Add in the hash area. My sticks engineering part # is F81E-6750-HB.

Sorry but I sold that MH in 05. I then had an 08 and I can remember discussions regarding how much oil to add during a change. It turns out Ford had 6,6 1/2,and 7 in different manuals for different years. I would go by the manual you have and mark your stick full at the time you change oil and filter and go from there. I’d also confirm with Ford that you in fact have the proper one for your model year.

I don't have an issue with my rig, it takes 6 quarts and reads in the middle. I was just curious if your new stick from the recall read differently.

I was a tech, including a couple of Ford dealers in another life and reading the stick was always a debate even with other techs. Many of the techs would add the 1/2 quart to bring it up to the Full mark. I did not, I put in what the manual stated and as long as it was in the middle or full, it was good to go.

Answering the question of how many Quartz with the new Dipstick which was answered previously. Yes, 6.5 qts would take the level to midway.
However, I put in 7qts. It showed full. I did put some oil in the new filter.
I checked it 2 days later; it was the same reading.
How this helps.
