Oil in my air supply on a 1988 Elite coach

On my 1988 Detroit Diesel 8.2L engine, the air compressor is Putting oil in the air. My manual set has a different compressor than what is mounted on the engine.

Can anyone confirm what air compressor is used on a DD 8.2 L Turbo engine?

I have a manual for a Bendix Tu-Flo 700 - but it is not what is currently mounted

I have what appears to be a Bendix BX-2150 compressor, however, there is no ID plate on the compressor but it does match pictures of a BX-2150.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

….some modest oil by-pass might be normal with that old a rig....the air drier is designed to separate oil and moisture from the compressed air--wonder when the air drier/cartridge was last replaced?????

Good point, I've only had the motorhome for a short period and who knows when it was last checked. There is a Preventive Maint. procedure I'll perform.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I agree. The daily use maintenance interval is once a year, for occasional use it is 3 years. I usually go ahead and overhaul the entire unit every other time since it is already on loose.
