Since we're going back in time, you might enjoy these rigs from the 1930's. I think it was after the depression, when people lost their homes. they gathered in what came to be called Trailer City, Florida.

And this gas motor... is it similar to the Toronado, front wheel drive?

Yes. Similar.

A bit of a cult following really. My neighbor bought/sold at least 25 GMC Motorhomes and I worked on every one of them. The 23 ft Birchaven was a favorite floor plan for me.

In my opinion probably more then twice what I would consider paying for a 73 with 45000 miles on a rebuilt engine, the 1978 on that Dallas Craigslist looks like a better choice and being a 78 it has more factory improvements as it is the last year production . The 73 is the first year production.
