Did something similar except I mounted my new flatscreen TV on a Morryde extension & swivel TV mount. Better viewing angle while sitting on the couch

I went to a bit of trouble to find a swingaway mount that also had a "quick disconnect". The idea being I could easily lift to TV off and lay it on the bed or something for travel. I also carefully selected a TV that was nice and lightweight to make it easier for me.
Turns out the TV isn't really that obtrusive and a strip of heavy duty velcro keeps it from rattling or moving when under way. So I've never once used the quick disconnect. Doh!
