I have an ONAN 8000 gen. Decided to exercise today and it starter fine, ran for 10-15 mins as usual then it reved higher and started to have heavy smoke exhaust. I let it run for another min or two and then shut it down.
Oil and filter changed recently, Oil is OK. Antifreeze is OK. Everything seems OK except the unexpected higher rev and smoke.

Update. Waited 15 mins and started perfectly, no smoke. Ran for 5 mins without a problem. Weird...
