Onan Propane Genny needs fuel regulator and or vaporizer
Hi I have a Onan 6500 Marquise Prtopane generator in a 97 Monaco Windsor. It has ran perfectfor the last 175 hrs. It has 422 total hrs on it now.
Over Laborday we used it approx 22 hrs and the last day it stopped running. I felt like it was running out of fuel. It would slow down sputter and stop, It would restart for 10 sec or so and die.
I filled the tank this morn before the trip to the shop to make sure my gauge was correct.
I took it in to the Onan dealer He says it is the fuel regulator and approx $650.00 parts and labor for new regulator. He says he has seen some do this and that is a suggested check from Onan service manual for my symptoms.
I agreed to the repair and he ordered the parts. Is that price good or should I have bartered? Thanks
