We talked to a dealer about ordering a 2014 Tiffin Allergo 31 sa. We talked figures and he came back and said to order a 2015. Ok lets do it...We went through the order sheet and gave a deposit. It's been over a week and have not received a contract and money has not been taken from my credit card.
Called yesterday asking about things and was told it's been ordered.
I don't know what to think, Is this the way things are done? Maybe someone could fill me in. Right know I have a purchase order for a Motorhome, this will be a cash sale. Would love to know order number when they plan to build and receive it.

Same thing happened to us in Fife, Washington. It was weeks before we had a real #. BUT, we stayed on them hard, challenge them at every turn, and today we are on a lake enjoying our 2015 Thor Ace 27.1 and the #s worked out fine.
I'm not surprised. Tiffin hasn't released pricing on the 2015s and probably isn't even taking orders yet. Normally, Tiffin acknowledges an order within a day or less so when they do accept the order, your dealer will find out very quickly. Now as to when you hear from your dealer. . .

Yes your probably right the dealer has not ordered it yet. They just are telling us the Allergo has been ordered. They could have been honest and said it will be soon and let us know. Were not in a hurry if that was the case I would have bought a 2014.
I guess I just don't get it. Anyway all good things come in time....
You have every right to be concerned. A well run dealership would have esplained the procedure in detail to you regarding your order. I am sure that would have answered your questions regarding time lines on placing an order for a 2015.
