Have they said why they can't do the roof rails? I had mine done in CA.

Just said they were not set up to do it efficiently.

WALK. We just ordered an Entegra with $2,500. down and didn't pay for it until delivery. It sounds like the dealer want's to run his company on your money. I am currently at the Jayco factory and witnessed a transportation driver total a Seneca turning onto I 80. What if that would have been your Tiffin?

The fact that the OP posted they had cancelled the order and received a full refund many days ago does not mean the "end" of this thread, which has ranged far and wide, as many threads do.

Over in Gen Discussion forum there is a thread about being a "thread killer"-yet nobody has been successful - even though 8,000+ posts have tried to be the last. Like here, the OP has long since moved on.

Sorry, Ed, but it doesn't make sense for folks to continue to tell the OP how he should get out of the deal when he has already done that five days ago.

If it's going to morph into something off topic, that's a different story.

I wonder what the dealer would have said if the OP had told them he was worried about them declaring bankruptcy after he paid up front and before the coach was delivered?

No need to be sorry...I completely agree with your post. Amazing how many members will read the OP and then apparently comment without reading the follow-on posts.

This thread has morphed, un-morphed, and now morphed again.

It's too bad an OP can't have the ability to close their own posts. This is like the UPS truck that keeps stumbling on as the driver has already turned it off and left the seat.

I don't know about these guys losing their floorplan, but Bob Tiffin personally told me that the dealer had to pay in full before the coach left the factory.
Strange? Why would a manufacturer tell a private individual that kind of sensitive information about one of his dealers? Very unprofessional conversation by Tiffin!

I believe that payment policy by Tiffin(and other coach builders) applies to ALL dealers.

I would stay away from that kind of pressure. I have always made a small down payment and then paid for the item after I had done the first inspection. Only once did I outright reject the vehicle. It was missing a couple options and although the dealer said they would be able to add them I preferred to order again.

In today's electronic age the use of bank transfers, etc should make moving money quickly a breeze.

I am sure the dealer will not let us leave the dealership with the unit before paying just as I am not confident that the dealer will always deliver what they promise. The final payment helps to keep them honest and focused on delivering what I want.
