Ordered a 2015 Tiffin but Dealer wants $$$ in full first

I agree. Mr. Bob is too good a businessman (and too nice a gentleman) to disparage any ONE dealer with comments like that.

In addition, I'm quite sure that most dealers do NOT pay cash to Tiffin before shipment, but rather the dealers sign for the unit to be added to their floor plan or other financing arrangement already in place at Tiffin. Either way, Tiffin gets their money "upon shipment", so Mr. Bob's comment is essentially true, IMO.

True on probably all big ticket items, however I took it as being directed at that specific dealer. I guess we will never know!

I'm sure Tiffin is in a financial position to floorplan some of their major dealers and some of the big dealers are probably in a position to floorplan their own inventory. Tiffin probably borrows money to fund manufacturing and then loans out borrowed money at a higher interest rate on floorplans. Making money on borrowed money!

With money as cheap as it is to folks / companies with great credit, some may be able to floorplan their own but do it through other institutions.
