OTR truck tires are made to go a lot of miles. Some OTR trucks go hundreds of thousands of miles a year. These tires are made of a very hard compound and ride very rough. You should stay with a local & regional delivery all posision tire like the M154 because they have a good scuff resistance and better ride comfort ang good sidewall protection. Other co. make similar tires and the choise is up to you.

I replaced my Goodyear 670's with Hankooks which I am sure are truck tires and seem to ride just as good if not better than the 670's. Probably just another selling gimmick to extract more money from the customer.

Truck tires have regional vs long haul classifications plus steer, drive, trailer so be sure you look at those aspects as well.

FET fees being charged on tires is this correct or should I be arguing that as an RV owner I don't have to pay this fee??

I used truck tires on my last motorhome and they worked just fine. They were on the motorhome when I bought it, and I replaced them with the same when they aged out. I used all position tires on the back, and steer tires on the front.

If you go to a larger tire be careful with wider tires on your duals. Make sure there's enough clearance between the duals so the sidewalls don't rub together when the tires flex.

Truck tires will work just fine. I doubt if most people could tell the difference. And they darn sure won't sidewall crack any faster than Michelins.
