We have a 2006 National Tradewinds 40' DP.
We designed this desk to replace the existing freestanding dinette. The computers and printer are all hidden behind the tv that swings out on a piano hinge. There used to be a large tube type tv in this cabinet so it gave us a lot of space to work with. On the sides of the cabinet we have cooling fans to keep the computers cool. Inside the desk in the middle is a hidden powerstrip and usb hub, along with a sliding file drawer and 2 shelves. The tall vertical slots house the paper for the large format printer, my ellipse templates and large drawing tablet.
The top of the desk is zebrawood veneer. We wanted something striking but not too heavy and this veneer turned out great.
All the work was done by Greg at From Trees to These, Inc in Decatur, Indiana. We highly recommend using him. He has great attention to detail. He even realized that the 3 windows on the wall were off center by an inch and compensated to make the center of the desk line up with the windows.
If you have any questions about the design or build let me know and I will try to answer them. I designed the desk in a CAD program so we could get a good understanding of how the parts would look when finally built into the coach. It also helped me when discussing with Greg at From Trees to These. He then made modifications to the design to fit the way he likes to build. All in all it was a very successful project.

We ordered it with self-adhesive 3m film. We would not recommend the film again. Greg said it was very difficult to get it to stick down. It took a lot of time to roll it out properly. It looks good now, but if you order a veneer it would be best to just glue it.
