I do most of our cooking outside, and so I turn it on when I cook. We use it less frequently for more focused tv-watching. I do like it more than I expected to.

Installed them myself for less then $500.

I can see anything recorded on the Genie inside.

Did you have the wireless Genie installed? Direct tv is giving me a hard time in regards to installing the wireless system. It would make getting the receiver in the outside bay easier.

Thanks

IMO thoughtful people seldom use an outside entertainment center.

We're good then.

I know what your saying however. The DW and I stayed at a higher end resort last summer during football season. The people across the grassy infield in the park approx. 100 yards away invited some "social drinkers" in the park to come over and watch the collage game that was on in the evening. Between the jumbo tron TV and there Margareta blender I don't think anyone in the park had a nice peaceful evening. The parks security personal said nothing as these people were seasonal campers.

Sorry No wireless here. I ran a cable by drilling a hole in the floor above the compartment the TV and the H25 are in.
The other 3 receivers I have are also on cable from the SWM splitter.

Visiting various areas around the country is NOT about watching TV. Its about meeting others, visiting, and seeing the sights.

Keep the TV inside! Unless your wearying headphones.

We're not full-timers. Our coach came with the outside tv. We use it to watch baseball while we cook and eat. If we are parked close to others we usually keep the sound totally turned down, or at least very low. I wouldn't have ordered it, but the occasional use is enjoyable. Of course, I could say the same thing about several other features that came with the coach.

Our coach came with the entertainment system mounted in the storage compartment ahead of the rear axle. Behind it is the access to the Oasis system control box. Without the entertainment system, there would be about a 6" deep storage compartment.

We seldom use the TV. Now the stereo system gets a work out. I have wireless head set as most folks don't care for my classical genre. Now would I "order" an outside system? Not really.

We did not have it on our wish list when shopping, but it was there. I enjoy my coffee many mornings with the news and an occasional sporting event. It's nice but I would not have thought to make it must have, before the experience.
