Outside entertainment center wet inside after rain

Hi Everyone and thanks for all your help!! We are on our first trip to see what's up with our new Fleetwood Southwind 34A 2016. Only a few issues to have repaired at the dealer when we drop it off this Thursday!! After it rained for a few hrs here in FL I took a look at the outside entertainment center and found a lot of water inside after opening the door!! Is this something that happens with these outside centers. Tv had drips on it and the speakers and radio!! Door was closed and locked but water still made it inside!! Yes it's under warranty but I don't see a easy fix!! New seals around the door u would think no leaks!! Anybody have similar problems?? Please respond and thanks for your help!! Yep we are newbees!! Perhaps the door latch could need adjusting to pull the door tighter to the gasket seal that should surround the compartment. No water should enter the compartment parked or moving. Back to the dealer you go!

Sounds familiar. My TV lays flat and slides back in the wall, and always gets water on it. We keep a bath towel on the front of the TV to absorb the drips. Have tightened the door, seals are good on the door and against the coach body. Part of the problem is that water can set for a long time on top of the seal behind the door, and when the door is opened, that water can find it's way to the top of the TV. If any gets past the seal while washing or raining, it can find it's way to the TV also. In the past I have opened the door to find water on the TV screen.

We have the outside TV and do not get any water in there, even while traveling in pouring rain. So they really need to address that as it is not normal. It most likely just needs a new seal.

I picked up my new 2017 Southwind 34A and as an experienced RV'r I go through everything. My latch to secure door for our exterior TV was loose and had shifted slightly and adjustment screw on inside of door latch needed threaded out a couple of turns. This in turn put more pressure on closing door and properly sealed door. When you push latch closed it should take slight firm pressure. If it's easy probably not sealed. By Seattle and rained hard today no leaks.

We didn't have an entertainment center but our bays never leaked. It's not normal so the problem needs to be addressed or you're going to get mold in there.

Fleetwood Discovery 2015

I eventually had to put outside weatherstripping along the top side hinge to stop heavy rain storms.
