Every time I have seen a plain painted motor home, it has looked like an unfinished project or a government vehicle. Plain paint really shows off the various vents, doors, awnings and miscellaneous intrusions.
I am not a big fan of the swirls, but I am sure that the designers figured out what we want. To me, block stripes, though attractive, just looks 1970s. Like a 1977 teenager's conversion van.
All of this from a guy whose absolute favorite motor home was a 1960s city bus, painted primer gray, with a rusty black, front-to-rear deck on the top.
Remember the truck in the movie "Duel?" I would love to have an RV fitted out like that!
