Park Power Flicker - what happened?
Any idea what happened?
We were staying at a campground this weekend plugged into 50 amp shore power. It was hot and everyone had their A/Cs running. I was watching the voltage to make sure it didn't drop too far. We got a brief "blip" where our lights flickered for a moment. I went to go check on volts and I noticed that one of the legs had dropped below 110, so I killed the A/C on that line and kept monitoring. My rig never cut power. The other leg was still above 115 and stayed there. The campground staff came out and worked on the power for several hours and eventually I noticed that both legs were back above 115 and I resumed running all three A/Cs. Later that day my neighbor in a 5th wheel said he had lost power for a time and we noticed a class C next to him was running their generator. We never lost power.
Any ideas what might have happened? Why would we still have power when our neighbor didn't? We weren't running a voltage booster.
