I just put a bully dog big rig tuner in my 500hp ism. They're $999 but you get a $100 rebate if purchased before the end of the year. I take it out for a drive tomorrow. Dont waste your money on the 2200$ one.

How much to gain a few HP, torque??
Just push to pedal down a little to get the same effect.

If I can gain .3-.4mpg it will pay for itself in two years for me. I took a drive today and the tuner added power for sure. I'm now around 33psi but the boost starts dropping at 1700ish and goes all the way down to 25psi@2100rpm.
The methanol injection wont let the egts go over 1000 degrees now measure in the manifold, so that's a drop of 150-175 degrees.

Turns out the turbo is the limiting factor on the engine as it just runs out of breath. Without upgrading the compressor housing and wheel to a true GT60 I'll always lose boost up top and it wont perform to it's full potential.

I wouldn't run a Bully Dog on a Pickup let alone a MH.

Go to the truckers forums and find the go to tuner and get custom tunes.

Good for you caryt. Go do that to your MH and let the rest of us stay on topic here.

I drove 705 miles today and the coach definitely has more power and is easier to drive. It only downshifted to 5th gear 30 or so time the entire day going up and down hills. Once it downshifted it went back into 6th after 2-3 seconds all but one time where it went back to 5th a second time. Cruise was set at 64mph. Egts never went above 950 the entire day and the coach has tons of power ( I'm pulling a passat tdi waggon on tow dolly this trip instead of flat towing a liberty tdi). I checked the methanol injection tank and I didnt use more than 500ml so that 5g tank will last a very long time. I will lower the boost activation down to 20psi in the morning and have full ramp up @25psi instead of 30.

9.17mpg first 705.
9.11mpg last 570 miles to ft Meyers.

Needless to say based on this small sample of results I am very pleased. If someone told me that we could ride around weighing 43klbs with toad and get 8.5-9mpg while pulling hills at 65mph I wouldnt have believed them.

Ask them for their dyno results for your engine. They were at Quartzsite last year and had no dyno results to prove their claims.

Years ago, I installed the DIGIcr tuner for the ISL in my 2005 Diplomat. I waited a year after YC1 installed it on his. He had no issues and dyno results showing 52HP increase. The DIGIcr unit tapped into the fuel rail and advanced the fuel timing without leaving an imprint on the ECM. It made my 2005 Diplomat a rocket and with a .5 mpg increase. With that said, my Diplomat only weighed 32K.

Well I called parleys diesel in Utah. He said there really is only two options: PDI ($2250) and bully dog ($800). PDI is far more advanced in terms of updates, interface, installation and you can transfer from truck to truck with no additional costs once old coach is returned back to stock. The bully dog is 8-10 years old tech with poor customer support and you canít transfer to a new coach. Performance is about the same with PDI slightly better just from better r&d and constant updates and dunk testing but not enough to make a huge or noticeable difference.

So, now I just need to make a decision!!

One can get tremendous HP from a diesel engine. The limiting factor is the Allison Transmission HP and torque input.

And the heat! I have seen a few suffer meltdown on some of the long hills around us in BC.
