The air cylinder that moves the plaform open and closed in front of the passenger seat leaksair out of the end of the cylinder when it is fully retracted. The rv is a 1995 beaver patriot diesel pusher. Does anyone know how to get the cylinder and air lines out of that small area? Thanks

There should be access from opposite side where removing fasteners and hoses on one end and attachment to the cover the piston can be pulled out the driver side compartment. Good luck and keep us posted.

I looked all over, but no access from back. Cylinder is mounted to back. It feels like there might be an access panel on the top under the carpet. I do not feel like pulling up the carpet at this time. I am thinking about connecting the supply for the cylinder to the airline coming out of the vacuum generator solenoid valve. Then at least it will only leak when the ignition is on.

I feel your pain, mine slowly leaks down allowing the step to creep out.
Darn near had a major wreck when I didn't notice it and tripped on it.

I reversed the air lines going into the control box, so far works like a charm.
Only difference I have noticed to date is that my switch to control the steps is backwards. Hopefully I haven't created bigger problems. If anyone knows why this could turn into a problem, please speak up.
I have different model of bus, I can access the end under the step by moving the step out part of the way, very awkward to get at, but doable. I haven't looked to see how I can get at the other yet. I tried to find a new air ram with very little luck.

Just wondering, does your Beaver Patriot Coach have a front mounted Generator and, if so, is it on a slide out tray? The reason I ask is, our '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the C-7 330HP CAT, has a slideout Onan 7.5 QD diesel. If I want access to the operating mechanism of our step-well cover, I just slide that generator out to its fullest extent and, I look up in the cavity and, there's the access panel that step well cover.

But, if you don't have that slide out gen, well then, I can't help you.
