Plumbing help, thoughts, Hepvo Valve
Long story short, I need to replace the hepvo valves for the shower and the washing machine. Both of the valves are behind the silver garbage can, inside the wood cabinet, behind the commode. See picture.
Since I am going to do this I wonder if there is a reason I shouldn't locate the new valves in the wet bay, where they enter the top of the grey tank. See picture. I think this will make it a lot easier for future maintenance. I am also considering going away from Hepvo valves and putting in j traps. The only thing I can think of, and not sure why it would be an issue, is the distance from the commode, washing machine, to the Hepvo or J trap.
Any ideas or thoughts on this would be appreciated. As a side note, I'm also going to add a hinge to the basement door so I don't have to remove the screws to get into it but that's a separate conversation.
