Poli-Glo / Poli Prep / ZEP
2006 National Sea Breeze. 2 Poli-Glow / Poli-Prep Kits
Finally got the job done with Poli-Prep / Poli Glow / Bar Keepers Friend and ZEP High Gloss floor finish.
Day 1 : Washed the coach and scrubbed the roof with regular car wash, applied BKF to the black streaks which worked wonders. While the oxidation was not that bad the Poli-Prep did make a noticeable difference. Working my way around the coach I continuously sprayed the Poli Prep off the lower painted areas.
Day 2: Primarily working an area approximately 3' X 3' started applying the Poli-Glow (Directions were entirely accurate re. dry time and number of applications). I was fairly consistent in applying 6 coats in each section. Finished the day with 3 coats of Zep High Gloss Floor Finish applied to the roof.
Day 3: Began by washing the lower part of the coach once again with just plain car wash. Applied Meguiar's Oxidation Remover to the painted compartment doors, then applied the Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax and buffed it out.
Thanks to all who recommended the Poli Glow product, very happy with the results.

No the roof is not rubber. When I purchased last September it was obvious that the MH had not been properly cared for and the roof was incredibly dirty, but in good shape. So we power washed ( small electric ) the roof, cleaned all vents, replaced all vent covers , cleaned and serviced air conditioners, removed all old Dicor and applied new, re-taped front and rear seam.

I have the exact coach . Planning on clean up job this week. When you say painted areas, what do you mean? I am thinking fiberglass and decals. Can you explain?

I believe that the compartment (storage) doors are fiberglass but painted. If I read the directions correctly the Poly-Glo and definitely the Poli-Prep was / is not recommended for paint. While some have used the ZEP on the entire coach I did not want to do that, but wanted to apply ZEP to the roof. The Poli-Glo is a polymer which is designed to fill, restore and adhere to prepared /conditioned fiberglass. Spending a lot of time reading everything regarding different products and available to restore luster to fiberglass, I simply chose the Poli- Glo

Yep, the upper half of mine is fiberglass gel-coat and the lower part is painted. I used Poly-Glo on the gel-coat and Mothers polish/wax on the lower painted portions.
