Mine is an UltraGuard. Held on by chains on 38ft Newmar DP. Protects toad really well. Wouldn't want to be without it...

A second poll would be: How many have truck style flaps behind the wheels in lieu of full-width ad-flap? I'm in that group.

Another one who removed the flap before going to Alaska. We a much smaller accumulation of gravel/pebble rocks at the base of our toads windshield. Our coach does have tire flaps behind the Tags, and I believe this helps.

I've noticed no change in MPG or engine cooling, though during my research, others commented about cooler running engines...

Suspect that different chassis and coach overhang as well as Tag vs non Tag can be a difference maker the results of using, or not using, the large mud flaps.

I use the solid rubber flap, but also the Protect-A-Tow mesh shield. I think the combination gives me the very best protection!

We'very had our Newmar Canyon Star for a couple of months, and I plan to keep the flap on. It'seems hard rubber suspended by two chains, so it can be adjusted to set higher or lower, but I'must leaving it the way it is right now. I don'the have a toad hookup yet, but the flap seems like it would stopen some of the big stuff from flying back into a toad. I saw another coach with a Blue Ox Tow Bar with a Blue Ox mesh Guard that will protect a toad from anything that gets past the flap. The mesh guard does not restricted turning.

After paying $800 to have the front of my custom painted enclosed trailer refinished, I removed the full flap. No more stone chips after 12,000 miles. The small flaps behind the wheels do the job. My son had the same problem with his Mountain Aire. His new Newell did not come with one. As far as not having the coach logo there anymore,,,,,,, I couldn't care less.

4 years without and not a stone chip yet. Guess drive wheels are far enough forward.

My Gulfstream has the grass skirt. I will be adding full length truck flaps at the tires this fall.

There seems to be a theme.

Those people that had a full-width and removed it are happy (they have a comparison).

Those people that have a full-width and are keeping it are happy (no comparison).

No one that has removed the full-width, and tested, has put it back on.

People that have conventional mudflaps (behind the wheels) are happy.

Some people have kept the original have done so to maintain originality (that's cool).
