popped out windshield

Has anyone ever had a windshield fixed on a large motorhome at your site, and if so who did it. I am in Oceanside ca and need to get this done before the next rain. I am sure it popped out during some leveling.

Make sure you have 24 hours to let the eurathane set. 95% of the windshield guys will use eurathane to keep the windshield from coming out again.

I had a new one installed while I slept in the back. They used urethane and I drove away within half an hour of their finishing. Another shop also used the urethane and had me leave it overnight. Never had a problem with either of them.

We are a long way from Ca but the first time I had mine fixed was at The Glass Doctors in Granbury, Texas. Took it back the second time and they would not do it. Told me to take the rig to Ancira RV on Interstate 35W, South of Ft. Worth because the rig needed to be re-aligned before being repaired or it will continue to happen.
Do not know if this is correct as I did not do it and no longer have that rig which was a 2008 Gulf Stream 38 Sun Voyager. Am now looking at fifth wheels and possibly another big rig.
Hope this helps and good luck.

We had our windshield crack during a turn into a service station in Vicksburg, MS back in the spring. We were en-route to CT and were working against time constraints. We were advised on this forum to contact RV Windshield Replacement | Recreational Vehicle Windshield Replacement and Repair | RV Glass Solutions. We contacted them and explained our itinerary and time issues. They arranged to have a windshield shipped to their installer in CT so it would be waiting for us when we arrived. Upon arrival we contacted them again and arranged for the installer to come to our campground and do the installation. They showed up on time, did the job and were out of there within 3 hours time.

Good luck with what ever you decide to do.

I would call your insurance company, they have lots of windshield companies on file. I'm sure they would give you some numbers to call.

Same one I used. They drove 125 miles for the service call and it was covered by my insurance Co. They did an outstanding job and were fixing a bad install from a new windshield installed in WI after hitting a turkey.

My insurance Co sent out a terrible installer and I had to have it re-done by RV Glass. RV Glass is approved by most RV insurance and do nice work.

My insurance company Good Sam's GMAC thinking I am a "big rig" sent out a company that installs the small windshields in 18 wheelers. They didn't have a clue on large MH windshields and it leaked.
