Lippert addressed this as a stiction issue. I’ll be trying it this weekend. I’ll left you know how it goes. Also i think I’ll try the spray on the jack shafts also. The link to lipperts recommendation: https://manuals.heartlandowners.org/...%20Systems.pdf

Prior to that we used the heat pumps, but it got really cold for a few days so I switched. I have not turned it off to test if that is the source, but based on a prior post in this thread that might be it.
After talking to others and a call to Newmar our new noise is likely from the jacks. Newmar CS has said they have heard of this and suggested our hydraulic fluid was low. Add some and it seems that the noise is gone.

Back to the OP's question and observation that the popping goes away when the water heater is off....
I've heard popping from the water heater, but not sure if it's minerals popping off of the heater rod, water getting hot enough to form a bubble under a mineral deposit, or just the water heating up. Have you checked the sacrificial rod lately? Sorry I don't know if the Aquahot has one, but most water heaters do.. maybe flushing water heater tank might reveal something.
Last time I winterized, I was amazed at the amount of mineral slivers that came out.
Just a thought...

Newmar thinks my non-thermal noises come from the jacks. The hydraulic fluid changing with temperature and/or barometric pressure OR a small hydraulic leak. It is getting checked out next week.

Since the frequency has increased I have raised the jacks and am using air leveling.

I really prefer air leveling but as full-timers Newmar suggest I use it sparingly, such as short stays when traveling. Harumphhhhh.

Liefert

I put in the fork oil as recommended by Lippert. The sounds are now gone. I got a transfer pump from Harbor Freight and sucked out about a quart of the hydraulic fluid and replaced it with the fork oil. Brought the feet up and releveled and the sound is gone now.
