Popping sounds

My coach has suddenly developed a popping sound in the back section. The noise is random. Happens at night or during the day. Doesn’t seem to be triggered by thermal change or movement in the coach,ie walking around. It sounds like a door opening/closing. I’ve heard similar sound when my jacks retract or if air bags are dumped. The coach sat for almost 4 weeks and the sound continued. I haven’t tried having coach in travel mode yet. I haven’t been able to recreate the noise. My coach is on a Freightliner chassis. I know it’s a weird one but it wakes us up throughout the night . Any help is appreciated

I have a random pop in ours but it is in the front of the coach, on the wall right behind the driver's seat where the couch slide goes out. I believe mine actually is thermal because it tends to happen late in the day. It's also close enough to the front left jack that it's still a suspect. Haven't felt anything move (ever) when it makes the noise and I'm usually sitting in the passenger chair when it happens. Hope any of this helps you pinpoint yours. Good luck.

Same here. I think mine is thermal as it sometimes happens on the wall in the mid afternoon in direct sun.

Research continues I turned the aquahot off overnight and the popping went away. It does sound more like a thermal pop than anything else. Has anyone else had noises like this cone from their aquahot ?

I don't mean to highjack the thread, but thought I would share our recent experience with popping sounds. We sometimes hear a random popping sound on ours (not aqua hot equipped), usually when walking around towards rear of unit. I also suspect it may be gravel under the jacks. However, on our last outing during our 2nd night at a campground, there was a loud pop, waking us up and the entire unit shook. Next morning, when we were readying to leave, the rear air bags would not inflate. I raised the rear of the unit to look underneath and didn't notice any issues. Once a tech looked at it he said the left rear air bag had become disconnected from its bottom support. He got it resealed and the bags then inflated. Two more times during the trip the rear air bags did not want to inflate, both times the rear was lower than the front. Raising the rear with the jacks just a small amount allowed the air bags to fill. I do feel the rear is riding too high. At no time were the rear wheels off the ground and the air is always dumped prior to leveling. The unit goes into Freightliner on Tuesday to get checked out.

A recent discussion of popping sounds from jacks at night were helped with Cat striction additive in hyd. oil
I know others have added certain motorcycle fork oil..
This is smallest qty. I'v seen. I'm not sure why the pic didn't pop up when I followed link I shared from here.

Hey Timmy... Interesting because we have a popping sound in the same vicinity. My wife hears it when sitting on the sofa in the corner closest to the driver seat.... Keep me in mind if you ever figure it out and I will do the same!

I had a 2007 Phaeton doing the same thing. My service shop adjusted the brake tension springs and problem solved.
