Portable air compressor

What is everyone using for a portable air compressor that doesn't take 30 minutes to inflate a diesel coach tire to 100psi or more?

We carry a "pancake" compressor, like a contractor's trim nail gun would require.
Capable of an honest 165# pressure.

Wow great idea's. I'd prefer to stay away from something so big like a pancake compressor. But if I had to I suppose I could get one.

You not only need to buy a compressor with enough pressure, it also needs to produce enough CFM to avoid your 20 minute wait to top off a tire.

You will not be inflating a flat truck tire on the side of the road anyway. Any tire that is 20% below normal inflation pressure is considered "run-flat", and no attempt should be made to inflate it to normal pressure without a safety cage;
16" and below do not require a safety cage.

Viar is a good brand, and if you want similar performance at a lower price; I have and use a Harbor Freight 150psi compressor. I also carry a 150psi 120V pancake compressor, which cost $100 at Menards several years ago. It produces more CFM and reduces time to top off my MH tires 2x a year.

X2 on VIair 400. Small but it will add a few pounds to my front tires fairly quickly and I run 115 psi in front.

I've been carrying this Porter Cable CMB15 for about six years. It only weighs about 20lbs and will add 10psi to 100psi tire in a couple of minutes. It's available on Amazon or at Lowes.

I carry a "real" compressor that cost $89 on sale and yes it takes up space and weighs a few pounds. I carry it in the house power bay. Top offs take seconds. I also recently acquired this little guy to try, and was impressed by the performance for top offs. I may quit carrying the big compressor.

I have that one as well. Sits perfectly in my shallow bay behind the elec compartment and I mounted a short extension cord to plug I to the seldom used eng block htr outlet. I also mounted a short air hose (Hbr Frt ods & end pcs) from the compressor compartment across to the opposite / pass side w quick connects so I only need to carry a 25 ft air hose to reach all coach & toad tires.

I just purchased this one from TireMinder and it is excellent. Compact, light, rapid fill and quiet! Will inflate to 150 PSI. Air hose screws on to the valve stem. Extra long air hose included. Perfect for my rig!
