I've got the same compressor and it has served me very well. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

On the couple of occasions I needed to add 10 -15 lbs to the 22.5 in. tires, I used the engine air compressor. There is a small hassle involved in the on-board compressor but I don't have to store and pay fuel bill, hauling a portable compressor around for years.

That is the same one I have. It works great. Strong enough to pump up my 22.5 inch tires.

[QUOTE=Sunrise33;5087456]Hello,
I was just wondering what type of portable air compressor people recommend to carry on board for keeping tires properly inflated.
Curious on Brand, Model, etc for convenience.
Thanks

we have a Viair 400 RV compressor and it works great. works off the RV battery but will pump up 100psi tires without a problem... very compact for storage, but it is pricey.

Viair 450 pumps over 110psi
I bought a Viair 450-RV (used on Craigslist) because I bought 13 ply truck tires for my 5th wheel and these run at 110 PSI and my older compressor couldn't do it.

Air compressor
I chose this guy as it has a nice low profile to fit in the storage compartment but has enough poop to run a long hose if necessary.
We have a trailer with a can am spyder that we tow so... lots of tires.

Any compressor that will pump its reservoir up to 150 psi.

I have a class C with 16 inch Hancook tires that inflate to 80 pounds. I bought the porter cable compressor that you have a picture of on the title of this post. It inflates to 150psi. Bought it at toolnut.com with a coupon, works good and I like that it’s all in one case. I did not use the included elcheapO coil hose, I find them to be China crap! So I went to Harbor freight and bought a rubber air hose and put my own air chucks on it then just roll it up and put it in a compartment. I have no issues, was very reasonably priced, but then again I only inflate 80 psi.

What I use.
The second post shows a picture of what is called a pancake air compressor. I carry one similar, the only real difference is the brand. The picture shows a Rigid brand, mine is Porter Cable. The advantage to this designed is the low wide profile. Not likely to tip over. Also, many are oilless. Many of the vehicle emergency compressors have a time limit as to how long they can run. My compressor is designed to run pretty much all day. I only paid about $100 at a big box store sale.
