Potable water tank

I have a 2019 Holiday Rambler Admiral, went to fill my potable tank and it didnt take water, it overflowed underneath RV and some inside. Did I do something wrong or is there a problem with the tank?

Sounds like there's a problem. Start chasing the water upstream.

Maybe someone left the drain valve open, did you winterize?

How are you trying to fill it? Pressure fitting or gravity fill?

If gravity maybe the vent line is plugged.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

How did you determine that it's not full? You can't depend on gauges!

Noticed you are kinda new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

On my older travel trailer if I accidentally left the spigot running to fill the tank it would pressurize the line because the spigot was still pressed into the fill port and water would back up and drip across the floor somehow.

In my opinion no part of the tank should be at or above the interior floor level the only way it could leak is if it was full and backing up into a faulty connection at the vent.

My Monaco has an overflow port to let me know it’s full before it starts leaking at the fill port.

Sounds to me like it was not winterized correctly and cracked during icing.
