Power Gear leveller: hydraulic or electronic?

I have a Power Gear leveller on my (new-to-me) rig. Just want to D/L manuals and trouble shooting tips just in case I ever need them.


Seems to be two systems, electronic and hydraulic. So question is, how to tell them apart?


The system has a pump in the front of the engine compartment, and jacks when extended have the nice, shiny metal. Can I assume this is a hydraulic system?



Also, if hydraulic, where is the reservoir usually located?

Yes, that will be a hydraulic system, the fluid reservoir will normally be near the pump. An electric system will have electric motors at each jack leg.

If you move jack manually the noise will only come from only one location on a hydraulic system at pump.
